Welcome to the Early Childhood (ECFE) program. The primary purpose of ECFE is to strengthen our most valuable resource-the family. Parents have a great influence on their children as the first and most significant teachers in their lives.
Because the role of parenting is so important, this program is designed to include children with their parents where they will reassure parenting skills, encourage children in caring ways and will bring parents and children together for a variety of shared experiences.
PARENT-CHILD ACTIVITIES
Join ECFE for support, information and enjoyable activities with your children.
Any family with children between birth and kindergarten is welcome to attend. There will be a $15.00 fee per family/year for classes. No family will be denied participation due to inability to pay.

Come for a light supper and then participate with your children in early childhood activities, reading and play.
Shapes of all Sorts
2 & 3 year olds class
January 31 - February 21, Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Explore the world of shapes and participate in finger plays, songs and creative activities. Parents will also explore topics of interest.
Alphabet Express
3-5 year olds class
March 27, April 3, April 24, May 1, Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Discover the alphabet through learning, art, music and more. Bring an item representing the alphabet letters each session. March 27 (A-F), April 3 (G-L), April 24 (M-S), May 1 (T-Z) Parent group will explore topics related to early learning.

Preschool children and their dads, grandparents or special male pal are invited to make a book shelf. Please bring a hammer. Be sure to pre-register one week before so there are enough supplies.
Tuesday, March 20, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Room 101 (no charge)
Play bingo games about colors, shapes, numbers or pictures with your preschool child. Every child will receive a book.

State guidelines make preschool screening mandatory before entrance into kindergarten. It is an opportunity for parents and care givers to review their child’s growth and development and follow up any concerns. The spring screening date is March 9 and families will be notified. If you are new to the district, please call the school at 945-6953
